ACER V3-571G - ACER Support site - NVIDIA GT 730M Drivers DOES NOT WORK!

Dear ACER,

As a proud owner of a new ACER V3-571G, i'm very dissapointed with the support page for this model.

I have reformated the notebook with my own copy of Windows 8 and now, the NVIDIA GT 730M drivers in your support page could not be installed. The NVIDIA installer keeps giving the message:

X NVIDIA Installer cannot continue

This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.

I have tried downloading both NVIDIA display drivers from your Windows 8 Upgrade and Windows 8 sections and they DON'T WORK!

Can you please update and replace the NVIDIA display ASAP?

Sincerely,

Joe

    Dear ACER,

I have found the solution to my conundrum. The drivers from the Windows 8 and Windows 8 upgrade pages, are confirmed do not work with Windows 8.

I found the Windows 7 64-bit NVIDIA drivers WORKING!, namely: VGA, NVIDIA, VGA DRIVER, 8.17.12.9632, 330.0 MB dated 2013/01/25.

Who would have thought to try the Windows 7 driver for a Windows 8 driver?

Thanks ACER for making me search in the most obscure places for a driver.

    Sincerely,

    Joe

THe 571g models do not have Nvidia GPu's. THey only have the HD4000.  THE 771g-9**** series have dual gpu's. BOth the HD4000 and the Nvidia Gt650m.

Nvidia does not yet produce a GT700 mobile series

    Hi Diiorio,

Unfortunately, i have to disagree with you on the statement that the 571G models do not have NVIDIA GPUS.

I have right here with me an ACER V3-571G-736b8G1Tmaii.

NVIDIA has released the GT700 Mobile series. Kindly see here => http://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebook-gpus/geforce-gt-730m

DELL and ASUS have notebook models containing the GT730M GPUs.

Kindly get your facts straight first.

Visit NVIDIA website and do auto search for the graphics driver.

Yes, most of the drivers for windows 7 will work with windows8. In my laptop I have NVIDIA graphics card and the laptop is manufactured for vista( too old) and NVIDIA haven't released any drivers for windows 8. I installed the windows 7 drivers in W8 and it worked great with no issue still working.

Great to hear that the issue is solved answer for lot of acer users

Acer has fixed the drivers. Now intel and nvidia have released driver updates. if you update the intel hd 4000 driver the acer nvidia driver does not support it and will cause issues but after also installing nividas updated driver for the gt 730m it will work great. First install the intel hd 4000 from intel as its said to deliver up to 10% more performance plus use less power then after updating the intel driver, install the nvidia one from nvidia site Smiley Happy
