I need to remove this SSD and copy off the data. Laptop is dead. I have various caddies/adapters but not for this tiny PCB beast. Does anyone know where I can get an adapter into SATA/USB or even what it is called pls?

Hello,
Don't worry. If you look closely the cable, there are two connectors:
- 1x USB Type A connected to your laptop (the classic USB)
- 1x USB 3.0 Micro B SuperSpeed connected to the enclosure

as far as i know, your model has a standard 2.5" SATA SSD, so...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=sata+usb+dock&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Asata+usb+docki think something with a dock is way more secure and can be used with 3.5" HDD too.

Ironfly,
Certain models were shipped with M.2 2280 of 128 or 240Gb so:

Ironfly,
Exactly shipped with HDD, SSHD or SSD M.2 2280. As he wrote "...for this tiny PCB beast", this should be the 3rd option.

Yes it seems to be M2 NGFF and this looks like the converter/adapter. May be cheap but I hope I only need to use it once, dores this look like it'll fit?

Yes if you already own a SATA "docking station" or a desktop. This adapter is used to convert a SSD M.2 into a SSD cased (looks like a HDD).
Is this one in your budget?

You will be able to use your old SSD M.2 as a portable drive of 128/240Gb via USB. Two solutions in one!

That looks a good idea. I'm a bit bothered about the socket at the end of the enclosure. Is that USB with a notch in it? I have USB 2 and 3 on my PC but I don't have that notch.
