Hi all,

I have a V3-112P-C3CM here of someone that wants more storage. After opening the device I noticed that there is space for a 2.5 hard drive and also solder points but no normal connections.

So my question. Is it possible to add a SSD or other 2.5 inch hard drive and if thats possible could someone give the link for the product.

There are no options to add a second HDD. There might be room in the case, but without a sata connector on the motherboard, there is nothing you can do there. The 32GB of (HDD) is soldered to the motherboard.

Possibly, the EMMC could be replaced with a larger  EMMC, but I'm not sure if the cost would be prohibitive.

There are solder pads on the motherboard that are the same as sata data and power connections but there is no normal connection. There are also 2 screw holes so I thought that there was a thing that could be connected for normal sata.

EDIT: I will try to make some pictures of it tomorrow when I have access to the laptop.

It does appear to have screws anchoring it, but it doesn't just sit on the solderpads. It needs to be soldered onto the board. Next thing would be finding the part. Acer will not supply this part.

This motherboard is available for Best offer + whatever it would cost to ship it. What is your client willing to pay for more storage?

Maybe you can find a motherboard locally.

    Thank you for the anwser.

The customer does not have the budget for replacing the motherboard and to pay 80 euro for a motherboard in a laptop of 200 euro is a bit pricy. The soldering is also not an option.

    Thanks again for the help.
