screen rotate function not working with Acer Aspire R11

I just bought the Acer Aspire R11 and had it upgraded immediate to Windows 10.

I flipped the screen over to use it as a tablet but the screen is not rotating.

I already search through the settings and the only thing I can see it that the option Rotating is disabled and greyed out.

So, I don't know where I can enable the rotation of the screen.

Does anyone of you know how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Martine

    Martinexena,

Here is an article that we found that might help out.

    Justin,

Your reply and link refers to the settings.

But as per my initial message : I already search through the settings and the only thing I can see it that the option Rotating is disabled and greyed out.

So that link does not help me at all.

Isn't there anyone from Acer who knows how to solve that greyed out option?

    Martinexena,

According to the instructions I provided in the link the notebook has to be placed into pad/tablet mode before that option will be available to change, just so you did not miss that part of the steps. Smiley Happy

Here is something else you can try:

    • Right Click Windows Logo(Start), and select Control Panel.
    • It will open the traditional Control Panel. Select Display.
    • Choose change display settings from the navigation pane.
    • Check the box for allow screen to auto rotate, hit apply and OK.

You can also see if reloading your display drivers fixes it.

    Justin,

I am intelligent enough to know to put the device in Tablet mode. So I did not miss that.

And unfortunately your other option isn't applicable.

In the mean time I found it myself.

Configuration panel = display = display resolution and there you can enable the rotation.
