Hello!

I have an Acer Aspire Switch 11 SW5-171-39LB. This model allows me to separate the keyboard from the display. I was hoping at times to be able to separate the display and put it at a location that is at eye-level and leave the keyboard on the desk and connect the keyboard to the display via a USB cable. Unfortunately, once I separate the keyboard from the display, the keyboard does not work even though I connect it via a USB cable to the display. I am forced to use the on-screen keyboard. I rather use the 'real keyboard'. If anyone has a creative way around this instead of having to buy another USB keyboard, I'll be interested. THANK YOU

Sorry, not going to be possible. USB connections tend to either allow you to use them as a host to a USB device (such as a USB port on a PC) or as a client to that host (such as the USB connectors on a mouse or keyboard). Your keyboard has a connection on the side that connects to the computer that acts as a client and a port on the side that acts as a host. You can't switch the functions...
