and some buyers report there are also keyboard lightThe software LaunchManager is not active after install and probably is the same problem
Local retailers do not have any knowledge of the device are otneha seller!

Personally I don't own a laptop with a backlight keyboard.
- Launch Acer Quick Access and check if there is an option.
May be a stupid idea. Could you check this:
- Download HWiNFO portable version (no installation) according to your OS version.
- Double click on HWiNFO**.exe
- Expand Motherboard>SMBIOS>Mainboard
- Could you give me the first ten characters of the mainboard serial number?

So your motherboard also has the backlight keyboard option. Could you give me the current bios version and the date in using HWiNFO or Run>msinfo32?
PS: Hmmm... I hope they connected the keyboard backlight cable.

The battery level must be at 30% but I advise you to charge it fully. The AC adapter must be plugged in.
Close all applications. Wifi off/Lan disconnected and do nothing else apart the bios update.
No devices connected to the laptop.
To perform a bios update from V1.03 to V1.12:
- Download the zipped file from the Acer support website
- Unzip the file by using Windows explorer - Extract
- Run the file ZAA_112.exe
- Follow the instructions indicated during the process
- When the update will be finished, the laptop will restart automatically.
- When you'll see the Acer logo, Press [F2] to access to the bios setup utility
- Press [F9] to load the default settings
- Press [F10] to save and exit
- The laptop will restart automatically and "load" Windows.
