I dont notice a bend in my screen, it looks flat looking at it from the front.

I have this monitor, but I didn't answer because I was not sure what to say about question like "I have a flat board in front on me - but it appears bent to me! What is wrong?"

If you are not sure - take a ruler and it will show you that monitor is indeed completely flat Smiley Wink

Obviously the corners are more far away then center - but this is the case with any straight & sufficiently wide object, not because its "bending away".

yes the monitor itself is indeed completely flat its the actual picture on the monitor screen that has a bend in it

Mine does not have a bend to it....

Try to take a photo of the bezel from the side and post it - if you saying that picture has a bend it it, we should see difference between bezel and image edge.

the bezel is fine its the picture on the screen that has a bend to it,its not a flat picture its like the desktop and everthing else is curved picture

Take a photo of it? Then we can see if it looks like a defect or not.

Sorry, but if you can't take a photo of it - its all just in your mind.

You are probably simply not used to large monitor. Have you used monitors of such size before?

Try to use it for a while and see if it gets better. If you still unhappy - just return it and get another one (I'd recommend curved ultrawide with opposite curve correcting your impression of "bulginess")

yes i had a 28inch samsung 4k monitor and sold my acer predator z35 curved to get this as i do prefer 4k

ebuyer wont take it back as they have a poor return of 28 days !! said i will need to go through acer to have it repaired

Ah, so that most like why flat screen looks bulging to you - because you have used Z35 and your brain got used to correcting reverse bend. Same thing happened to me (I went from Z35 to XB321HK too, and I used Z35 for just like 2-3 days and immediately after XB321HK looked really "bulgy" to me).

You should get used to it in some time.

if you can't take a photo of it, very likely Acer won't repair it because they will just say there is no defect.

maybe it could be that as my wife says she cant see it ! i used the z35 for 4 months at least every day,the other thing is i cant see the bend in games its only when im on the desktop or browsing

not buying this to be honest as ive tried my 2 asus 28inch monitors upstairs and the picture on both are straight when my eyes are looking at them with no bending inwards, going to send this back to acer as it must be a fault as im sure i would get the same affect from my monitors upstairs
