Upcoming Predator x34p
Hello Everyone,
My question is, will the new Acer Predator x34p have a DisplayPort 1.4 connection?
If yes, will the monitor be overclockable above a 100Hz refresh rate?

I am looking for information on this as well. I havent seen a release date or anything and I was also curious about the overclocking above 100 hz.

Short answer is no, not unless Acer revise the model before it is released and provide new information to news vendors and trade shows (which is unlikely but who knows).
There are currently only two notable differences with the 'p' version compared to the original X34 released last year:
1. It's 100hz out of the box, so no overclock option on the monitor OSD.
2. The curvature is 1900R which is significantly more curved than the original being 3800R.
The DP1.4 standard was only published by VESA in March this year, so most consumer electronics probably won't be using it until at very earliest next year, so we likely won't see high-refresh high-resolution monitors for another couple of years after that.

I've only seen a launch date estimate in this article.

It's a Malaysian tech site though, so if you're wondering about a North American release (like I am), it may be later.
To answer your refresh rate question, yes, it is native 100Hz and can DisplayPort overclock to 120Hz from what I've seen.
