    hi

thanks for your feed back however i bit the bullet and  sorted it

i downloaded 8.1 from microsoft via download tool on usb stick changed boot in bios and installed 8.1 all went ok on reboot checked status it was activated  all up dated ok just one problem and that is yellow exclamation on one thing unknown device which says

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver. tried to update no avail info gives

Device ACPI\INT33D6\5&1faa8109&0 was configured.  (But Its Not)

anyway all other is working inc webcam touch screen  touch pad etc so i will just have to keep searching too find a driver  anyway thought i would let you and others know  it can be done easy and you  dont need a code as it gets it from your bios

Windows 10 has a "go back" feature only available for 30 days after you upgrade to Windows 10, that lets you restore your old version of Windows if you do not like Windows 10.

As a suggestion you could try restoring to your original operating system using Acer Recovery Management.

Check that you have the drivers from the Acer support site installed... Looks like there is one missing.
