Screen capture on Iconia One 7 B1-770-K651

Just bought a brand new unit.

I want to do a screen capture but the usual Android Power button + Volume Up (or down) don't work.

Any idea how to take a screen capture?

OK - lo and behold, the problem is now solved.

It is in fact the volume down - power button combo - except it is very very sensitive to the timing. And I mean real senstivie. I only caught it by a fluke in my desparate attempts.

They really outgh to be pressed firmly at the exact same itme or it won't register as a screen capture.

Believe me, I am not dislexic and have many other devices that I can accomplish this task quite simply, but on the Acer, timing is really important - I can now get it (after tonnes of practise) once out of every 3 or 4 tries.

Anyhow, problem solved. Thanks to those who contributed.

Thanks for the response but as I mentioned in my post that key combination does not work for me

so, the only way is an application:

    Still not possible.

    No known mechanisms work:

    power volume down

    power and (soft) home key.

Neither is using any playstore apps.
Tried 4 different top apps and none work. Most don't even show the notification to start/stop capture.

Can't do screen snapshot or capture (ie video). Seems like a deliberate effort by Acer to prevent it.

This is on a newly bought with factory image unit (which doesn't have any updates either from Acer)

    Quite strange!

as last resort, since you are still under warranty, give Acer support service a call.

I will call them today but I doubt they will be able to address this.

I went to Staples the other day and tested their demo unit as well, and the hardware based key combo (power + volume down) didn't work there either.

Seems like a delibrate attempt by Acer to remove this functionality altogether.
