Hi,

Recently, I bought a convertable Laptop S1002-185G.

It equipped with 32GB eMMC HDD and I believe I need extra memory. Therefore, I am looking for a proper microSD Card.

In specification, they just mentioned It can support MicroSDXC card without any futhure information.

I would like to know is any limitaition in capacity and speed?

for example does it support all of Class10, UHS-1 and UHS-2 speed?

Best Regards,

Reza

    Hello,

    According to the Acer specifications:

    • Supports Micro SD up to 64Gb

I found no other information.Smiley Frustrated

Thank you for your reply. but the most important part is which generation and speed of MicroSD is supported and suggested.

I guess I have to ask technical support directly.

I know it will support Class 10 and likely the faster ones, it certainly supports sizes to 128GB and I expect larger as they become available. I suggest picking up a smaller UHS-2 card and testing speeds before you spring for top of the line, just to be safe.

Yesterday, I test different Micro SD Cards in using Acer S1002 card reader and a USB 3.0 micro SD (Lexar LRWM03-7000). Result was entierly disapointing. I use following Micro SD cards.

    - Lexar x633 32GB UHS-1

    - SanDisk Ultra 8GB UHS-1

    - TwinMos 16GB Class-4

    - Toshiba 16G Class-10

    - Silicon Power 32GB UHS-10

I attached the fastest and slowest ones.

As can be seen in the results, Acer S1002 offers a card reader with limited bandwidth around 20MB/s. Therefore, I recommend Class 4 or Class 6 micro SD memories instead of fast series like class 10 and UHS.

I case of capacity, honestly I didn't test 64GB and 128GB memories. but I am not surprised If it won't support any of them.

    Best Regards,
