My Acer Aspire switch 10's screen will randomly cut off when the battery gets low.

The screen goes black with the backlight still on. I then have to lock it and unlock it again as if I was waking it up from sleep mode. This only happens when the battery gets lower than about 50% charged, plugging in does not help. The only thing that helps is if I turn the brightness down to 25% and do everything I can to conserve battery.... Why is this happening? How do I fix it?

Try going to Power Options, change Plan Setings, Advanced Settings. There should be entries there for screen brightness and perhaps adapter specific settings. See if anything looks wonky.

Already had tried this but will try again. This happens when it is plugged in and when it is on battery. Even with screen brightness turned down and all battery -sucking items turned off like Bluetooth, wifi, etc.

I can't think of anything else right off hand that would force the display off on low battery, especially not while AC is connected.

Exactly.... Even when it is plugged in. Frustrating. Ever hear of anyone else having this problem?

it seems to be a off the self factory problem, because wehere i work there are a lot of service requests with customers complaining of the screen cutting off.
