I have an Aspire ACX-603G-UW13 with only 4 gb ram. How can I upgrade the ram? It wint take the 8gb.
I have an Aspire desktop, ACX-603G-UW13 with only 4GB of DDR3 RAM. I have tried to install an 8 GB set. Computer will not even start up. Is it the BIOS? How can I upgrade it? Only 4 GB is pretty much useless. I have tried to get to it in the BIOS. No luck. Will this model even take more than 4 GB? It has two slots. Other than upgrading to Windows 10, nothing else has been done to this unit. Kids want to play games that we have, but they will not work with only 4 GB. This unit uses laptop RAM, not the usual desktop type. Can anyone help me with this?

I believe it will only take 4 GB in each slot for a max of 8 GB. 8GB is more than enough to run most any game.

Thank you. I was hoping to upgrade it to 16 total, with 8 in each slot. Guess I won't be buying another computer from Wal Mart. Getting too cheap and not up-gradable enough. I'll get one custom built next time. I thought I could change the BIOS setting, but I can't even get to that. No more ACER computers for me. I bought Fallout 4 for my son, but after checking the system requirements, nothing on this computer is up to minimum. Oh well. Thank you again.
