Switch 11 clock keeps losing time

Hi guys. I am looking for some advice.

I have an Acer Aspire SW5-111 (Switch 11) tablet/notebook hyrbid. I am now on my 3rd of these because I keep having to send them back for various issues. The issue I have with this one (as I did with the first) is that the clock keeps losing time. I don't mean a second or two every hour, I mean 15 minutes in half an hour kind of thing!

I am fed up with returning them to get another and quite frankly, if I cannot get this sorted myself, I am going to get a refund and by something different.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what's causing this or even better, how can it be fixed? I've updated the BIOS, I've reinstalled all the drivers, I've run

sfc /scannow

But I just cannot get this to work. When it happed the first time, Acer told me that it was a faulty battery and to send it in for repair. It was less than a week old to me so I sent it back to Microsoft for a replacement instead. If there is a faulty batch, surely Acer must know about it and let people know. I can't be the only one.

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.

I can't offer you any help, but I also have the same problem with the acer switch 10e, it started when I'd had it for about 2 weeks maybe.

Its happening for me on my w510 also for last 2 months. My clock time changes random and sometimes it shows correct time. I tried reinstalling windows and still it does so. Smiley Frustrated

Here is weird solution for clock loosing time...lol Smiley Tongue

As i mentioned above, my W510 is loosing time. I even did windows reinsallation. But now i found out that for some reason clock time never fails on my device if i keep 'Internet Time Settings' window open. The moment i close the window, clock will loose the time. I dont know the reason for this. So, keeping the Internet Time Settings window always open in background is the only solution that worked for me. It might be lil annoying, but it works. Smiley LOLScreenshot (18).png

Usual cause is a weak CMOS battery.
