ADD RAM - ACER Aspire V3-112P 11.6"

Member Posts: 5 New User

Hello, I have recently bought ACER Aspire V3-112P 11.6" (pink version). It has 2 GB DDR3 and it was written that there is 8 GB maximum installable RAM.

I have couple of questions if I may:

1) which exatcly model of RAM can  I buy to install additional ram? Can it be for example this one: INTEGRAL PC3-10600 DDR3 Laptop Memory - 4 GB SODIMM RAM ??

2) Can I buy 4GB and add to what I already have (2GB) in order to have 6GB of ram? Or I can only buy 1x 2GB (to have 4GB) or 2x 4GB (to have 8GB)?

3) Is there any video or description or a video of a similar model to see how to install the additional ram into this laptop?

Thank you for your help. Any information would be appreciated!

Your laptop is this one and it supports up to 8Gb - DDR3L - 1600MHz.

    The original memory sticks:

    Spoiler
    KN.2GB01.027SODIMM.2GB.DDR3L.1600.LF.APACER
    KN.4GB07.021SO-DIMM.4GB.DDR3L.1600 4GB.KINGSTON
    KN.8GB07.020SO-DIMM.8GB.DDR3L.1600.KINGSTON

As you can see, the sticks of 4 and 8 Gb are Kingston. You can buy a compatible memory stick on the Kingston website.

I was told over the phone by acer: "your computer has one DIMM slot supports DDR3L-1066/1333 MHz SDRAM"

Anyone knows where can I buy exactly this model?

    Hi rokoeurope,

    1. Where did you buy the Kingston memory module?
    2. What's the part number?
    3. Does your laptop S/N start by NXMRQER002...?

    Hi there laurent_14

Well I bought RAM module in Austria and it has mark "KVR16S11/8   8Gb PC3-12800 CL11 204-PIN SODIMM".

    S/N starts with NXMRQER0024

I just noticed that my RAM module do not has "DDR3L" but "DDR3" sign...this might be a problem because instead of 1,34 works only on to 1,5 Volts...

You have found your issue. Your laptop only supports DDR3L 1.35V. I hope you'll be able to return it.
