Well, the URL below shows it will certainly take 2 SODIMMs for a total of 8 GB of DDR3. I really don't know if that is the true maximum configuration. Sometimes it is possible to go "beyond the max." Clearly YMMV in that situation.
Crucial RAM link ...

It's a little hard to find RAM info for TimelineX models.
Personally, I typically go for used Samsung or Hynix/SKHynix DIMMs/SODIMMs.
Almost always 8 GB will be enough for a laptop.
If you have a friend that has a laptop with 8 GB of DDR3 you could try putting those 2 SODIMMs in your laptop for a test. USE ANTI-STATIC PRECAUTIONS! Better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the answer,
Can I use one or two of this memory modules and if the answer is Yes, which One :
Crucial 8GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204-Pin 1.35V/1.5V Notebook Memory CT102464BF160B
Or
Kingston ValueRAM 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 (PC3-12800) Non-ECC CL11 SODIMM Notebook Memory (KVR16S11/8)
I need, if it's possible, upgrade to 16GB for forensics investigation pourposes.

I get it. You want 16 GB of RAM total.
Unfortunately, you are only going to be able to put in a maximum of 8 GB. That RAM will be two SODIMMs that are 4 GB in size.
Below is a link to one possible option.
http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/aspire-timelinex-1830t/CT5304970
Other options are possible, but they all lead to a maximum of 8 GB in your laptop. If you absolutely must have more RAM than that then you need a different laptop.

Oh oh. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO TAKE BACK MY IMMEDIATELY PREVIOS POST.
It appears that people have run into problems with that model before.
See the thread at the URL below.
http://community.acer.com/t5/2014-Archives/Acer-Aspire-1830T-RAM-upgrade/td-p/140871
You can always order from Crucial and if what they recommend does not work they absolutely will take the RAM back.
Beware. Look into this in depth before proceeding.

On a closer reading of that thread it appears that if you have a Core i5 CPU that you can put in up to 8 GB.
If your CPU is lower than that you get a max of 4 GB RAM.
Now those statements are only based on what is said in that thread, so PROCEED WITH CAUTION and investigate thoroughly.

What CPU do you have?

I looked into this a bit more. In the thread below (which I mentioned before) there were some problems, but one person reported success. They didn't say what RAM they used.
http://community.acer.com/t5/2014-Archives/Acer-Aspire-1830T-RAM-upgrade/td-p/140871
Further, I have looked at the "RAM specs" of all the CPUs that seem to be able to go in this laptop and they can all take 8 GB RAM ... even the Pentium. That says that any problems with using 8 GB RAM do not come from the CPU.
The person in the post below was able to get to 8 GB and they used G Skill SODIMMs. If the URL does not pop you right to the post then just search for ... F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ
There appear to be problems sometimes getting the 1830T to take 8 GB and it is unclear where the problems come from. The Acer forum user Kzorinth reported upgrading to the latest BIOS and still having problems. That was a 2013 BIOS upgrade so that would mean the final 1.24 BIOS still wasn't enough to do the trick. On the other hand the BIOS may have little to do with the success or failure of one of these attempts.

Good Morning,
Finally my Aspire 1830T-68U118 have i7 processor, 1.24 Bios version.
When I put more than 8GB, they show me only the last 4 digits.
Do you have any recently Bios Upgrade for this machine?
Which is the maximun size & the model of the memory I need to buy for it.
Can I use 1 Module of 8GB or necesarilly need use 2 of 4GB modeles.
