Webcam not found

Hi. I am using an Acer Espire E1-531 with Windows 7 64 bit on it. So whenever i want to use my webcam it is not found by my laptop. I tried downloading multiple drivers but none of them work (no webcam detected). Another thing is that i dont have an "Imaging Devices" section in my device manager. What may be the problem? I'll be very thankfull if u could send me the particular driver for my webcam or tell me a solution for this problem.
P.S I've resently formatted my laptop so maybe the driver was deleted or something... I haden't used my webcam before so i don't know if it had worked back then.
Thanks in advance

You can download the latest webcam application for your model by following the steps below:
    1. Go to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
    2. In the box below "Search by Product Model", type Aspire E1-531. From the list of model numbers that comes up, select your model.
    3. Once your product is displayed, select your Windows version appropriately from the drop-down menu besides "Operating System".
    4. In the table that comes up, go to "Applications" tab and then, go to "Camera" category. Click on "Download" option in the same row to download latest camera drivers for your computer.

If the issue still persists, you can use the following link for some more troubleshooting options:

Unfortunately, none of these options worked for me.And when I'm trying to install the driver it keeps saying "no camera found" so it is most likely a hardware problem in my opinion unless there is still something else to try

Hi, I have the same problem.

    Acer Aspire 5750G windows 7 64 bit

had it about 5 years, done complete restores from recovery partition a few times but not for at least a year. it's getting a bit cluttered and slow. memory's running at about 2gb used/6 total. It had hard disk replaced under warranty 3 years ago.

I have only just tried to use my camera for the first time in over a year but it didn't work. Skype didn't detect a webcam, the Acer Crystal Eye application I had installed already didn't detect it it just showed a black screen, even though there were photos at the bottom that i had taken with the camera before.

I uninstalled this and installed a Suyin Crystal Eye application, apparently with drivers, which installed and then upon running the application gave the error message "No webcam found" or something like that. Uninstalled that, installed the driver on the acer page for my laptop 5750g specified by SNID, on the acer download site. Acer WebCam Application 1.0.1216. interestingly, there was no application for the 32bit windows that I could see. Anyway, tried to install that and before it even installed it said Error: No webcam device found. (the first application was a yellow warning triangle, the second was a red stop)

But I can see the webcam in my screen! I have used it before, the evidence was in the first crystaleye application!

Hardware damaged? Any suggestions? Did you fix yours eximon7?

    Ta
