X34 losing signal issue

Just got my X34 up and running and it's a beauty.

But I have some issues.. There are some games that simply don't work, no matter what settings I use.

The two games so far that repicate the issue are Star Wars Battlefront and Shadow of Mordor, Both have the right settings for the monitor setup.

The screen simply seems to lose signal every few seconds.. In SoM it works in the menu, but in game it loses the signal. In Battlefront is loses signal both in game and in menu, although a little more prevalent in the menu.. I can sometimes play for a few minutes between each signal loss.

I'm on Windows 10 with latest Geforce driver on an Evga 980 sc card..

Did you get this fixed? I too have the X34 on a 980ti Evga. Non-stop signal loss. Over clocking it actually helps but in games it's every second.

I have one with a march manufacture date and it has intermittent signal loss only once at start of game then usally once more, when overclocked and running a higer end game. I would really like to see someone reply to this issueas I really like this monitor and this is the only issue I have.

What DP cables are you using?

My issue is now resolved. I wasn't sure if the issue was the screen or gpu. In my case I bought a acer gpu and returned the evga and it Work perfectly even when overlooked. I used the screen supplied dp cables.

A cable matters DP 2015-05-05_08-40-08_383.jpg from amazon but i have a accell 10 ft. on the way to test if that is the issue. I need a long cable because of my large desk.

Update: I bought a Accell B088C-010B 10 ft. Black DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable  and it works and the Cable matters cable recomended in another post as a solution didn't.  I am guessing here that the cables are either you get one that works or you don't. I hope this will help someone.

Thanks for the update, this makes me think I may change my cable to see if I get 100Hz and see if ! get lucky in the cable lottery rather than monitor lottery.

I suppose this is the problem with pushing the current technology to the limit, sometimes the theoretical is not acheivable in practice.

Glad you got a result though

I've been researching this issue for months, finally found this thread. Smiley Happy

I've already replaced my video card with no effect.  I've enabled and disabled OC via the monitor control panel with no apparent effect.  I'll go days without a problem and then i'll have days where the monitor blanks out and the power light goes yellow, but the PC is still playing what ever game I was in, a doezen times. Smiley Sad

I've just ordered one of those Accell DP cables ... let's see if that helps. <fingers crossed>

New cable didn't help.  The screen lost connection almost as soon as I started playing a game. Smiley Sad

Don't give up right away. Return it and try one from  Cable matters or mono price.  or try a different output on your card. somehow the cable lottery didn't give you a winner.

I've tried the cable that came with the monitor, a Monoprice one I had in the spares box and now the Accello.

On an interesting side note ... I discovered that there was a newer NVidia driver and installed that.  I've now had some hours of crash-free gaming.  I'd updated 2-3 times over the past weeks with no effect (still crashed), but this time ... perhaps? <fingers crossed>
