I have a Predator G6-710 desktop, with two drives. C drive is 118gb with 88gb free and D drive is 931 free space. This is my first gaming tower and I'm not sure if it's one drive with 2 partitions. I want to resize/expand C drive. I done it before, but want to be sure I'm dealing with 1 hard drive. Any help will be appreciated!

    Hello,

I think your desktop is equipped with one SSD of 128Gb and one HDD of 1Tb.

To confirm, could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

    Hello,

Thanks. I confirm one SSD of 128Gb and one HDD of 1Tb. You can also check it with HWINFO portable version (no installation).

Thanks, I thought that was the case. I tried installing apps to D drive, it worked for awhile but then for some weird reason it lost d drive. Had to ship it off because the hd went bad. Thanks again. Smiley Happy

    Hi

You can check it out in Disk Management. Press Windows key and R key at the same time. Type diskmgmt.msc in the run box and hit Enter to open Disk Management. Everything is clear. If you have two disks in your PC, then you are unable to extend your c drive with the free space on other disk. If you can see some unallocated space next to C drive, then you can extend it by right-clicking c drive and select Extend Volume, or you can fininsh it with the help of Aomei Partition Assistant if you have less knowledge of computer.

You might as well install OS only on the SSD, and store data and files on the large and free HDD.  SSD has better performance than HDD on reading and writing.

I also have a predator 17 with 128GB SSD (currently  c:\ with only 71GB left) . I call acer who advise me to call their  (capital data LLC). they sell acer parts. i got a 256GB SSD  from them.  The predator has two SSD slots so I install the 256GB into the 2nd slot. Now, the laptop shows c:\ - 71GB (SSD) and my g:\ -238GB (SSD). I plan on making a recovery disc then swapping the two SSD cards then reboot with my recovery disc. Hopefully, this will make my new c:\ - 238GB and my g:\ 128GB. any thoughts/suggestions/tips
