ASPIRE 6930 upgrade to Windows 10
I have a fairly husky Aspire 6930. It currently is running Windows 7 .
I like to upgrade to the free widows 10 upgrade.
My wife's older and cheaper HP computer, received an upgrade to windows 10 notification.
What about my Aspire6930 ?
I cannot find a Windows 10 support for my 6930. Any body could sent me into the right direction so I can use this very popular computer and install windows 10 ?
Presently dissappointed.

I followed the instructions to the letter and It is not the solution I liked. It seems that tthe ASPIRE 6930 is not upgradeble to Windows 10. If anybody else has more information and or a solution to upgrade this computer to Win 10, It would be appreciated.

Hi, I ahve 2 6930 laptops. One upgraded from Vista to 7 then 10, the other is still on Vista. The 10 model keeps crashing , locks up and has permanently lost wifi (works on ethernet). Vista works fine but now not supported by just about everything.
Most frustrating as they do what I want Maybe an upgrade to 7 will work for a while.. Any advice welcome.

As of Jan 2016 , My ASPIRE 6930 is now upgradeble to Windows 10.
Most programs migrated seemles to Windows 10.
However
Windows mobile 6.1 (HTC P3650), could no longer syncronise with WMDC (Windows mobile device center).
I spend many hours with MS teksupport and they finally admitted WM6.1, is no longer supported on Windows 10.
I tried to revert back to Windows 7 and my computer crashed .
I loaded a clean image from my Windows 7 install disk, and after 3 days of lost time, it is again working as it should.
BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

6930G owner here. So is this officially upgradeable to W10 now? I still can't see it anywhere on Acer's Windows 10 supported models list? If it isn't this is extremely disappointing for such a popular model still widely used.

My upgrade came automatically . The only thing I had to do was activating the upgrade.
If you have the microsoft product key of your computer you can try this .
