7552G adding SSD
Has anyone ever installed an SSD in the second drive bay, and where can I find the mounting hardware?
When I purchased my computer I was told that is has 3 memory slots. I know that it will accept the standard 4GB memory boards, has anyone tried to install a new 8GB memory board, and did it work?

You want to put in a 8GB and a 4GB and leave 1 slot empty?
Just get a 3x4GB kit. DDR3l-1600.

Actually, I was trying to find out if anyone has installed an SSD into a 7552G and where did they get the mounting hardware. I read somewhere that you need special mounting hardware for the 2nd drive bay.

The second part of my question was;
Has anyone tried to install one of the newer 8GB laptop ram memory boards into a 7552G and did it work. I am hoping to get the ram up to 24GB, so that the laptop runs as fast as possible without much of a power penality. A mechanical HD takes a lot of power and when you are running on battery power, HD paging is a huge power drain.
If I only get the normal 12 from the three ram boards, I can live with that.

All you should need to install a SSD in 2nd slot it one of these.
Even if you could put 24GB of memory in, it wouldn't do much good.
Anything over 8GB is over kill in a lot of laptops. !2GB is plenty and the max.
