Touchpad driver not getting installed on E5 573G-37Y5
My laptop is Acer E5 573G-37Y5. I have windows 8.1 installed on it and I find lot of issues with my laptop. The major issue is the touchpad driver. There are two drivers for touchpad are given by Acer, but neither works for me. I tried the installation several times and ended up having no luck at all.
This is driver information..
You can see that the driver for the touchpad has not been installed.
please let me know how to solve this annoying issue? I am fed up with Acer now.

You may not have neither Elan nor Synaptics Touchpad and may have Precision Touchpad. Have a look at this link.

thank you for your reply. I tried installing both Elan and Synaptic touch pad drivers given by Acer for my laptop. But yes, It says that my device has a precision touchpad. Can I disable it and start using Synaptic or Elan?

Will this help me?

Probably not. You can't get to the bios that way with Windows 8.1.
go to `PC Settings>PC and Devices>Mouse and Touchpad to check if the Precision Touchpad is turned off (or not present). If it's not there, try the bios.

That means all I have to do is keep using this awful precision touchpad nonsence. Isn't there any way to bypass this precision touchpad and to use Synaptic touchpad?
