I have a Aspire 5732z that I leave on and plugged in. The screen is black and stays that way

The power is still on, but no matter what I try, there's just a black screen. I did get 3-4 instances where the sign-in screen showed for a nonosecond, then disappeared. Will an e-Recovery solution be effective and necessary, or can it be fixed remotely with tech assistance? My feeling is it's from virus or malware, because of no blue screen. Thanks!

I'm running Windows 10. No screen at all at reboot, but have seen a couple brief flickers of the system sign-in screen, so I do think the system may be operating, but the screen is not getting the signal as it ought to.  Just a guess.

Ok, if you press F2 at boot, are you able to see the BIOS screen or it's still black?
If so, connect an external monitor and check if you can see any image booting to windows.
