R7-372T - Pen technology and availability?

If I understand correctly the R7-372T skylake models...

- support an active pen

- no active pen is included

- is not compatible with the synaptics active pen that the R7-371T models used.

So... does the R7-372T support an active pen?   what technology is it using?   Is there a pen available?   what are the specs for this pen and tablet?  levels of pressure, etc.

The lack of information is really keeping me on the fence about buying or not.

The Video below seem to indicate the stylus to use with this model is

Active Stylus Pen 2nd Gen (NP.STY1A.005)

Which would then be the one below on the Acer store, that confirms

    Compatibility

    SW5-173, SW5-014, SW7-272, R7-372T

Thx.  Good to know its a seperate model and what it is... although.

No information on the technology of the pen, be it some new version of synaptics,  ntrig or wacom.   No specs on levels of pressure sensitivity.   Pretty much no info on it anywhere.

Through my testing, I have observed...

    1. The nTrig pen from a Surface 3/4 is not recognized at all by the screen.

    2. The dell active stylus (synaptics) is recognized and shows a hover cursor.  but otherwise does nothing.

The swivel screen makes this a unique drawing tablet...  I just wish acer was forthcoming with the capabilities of its pen.  Very annoying. Would have likely bought one by now if I had this info.

Definitely not N-Trig (Microsoft) or Wacom.

My guess is it is a new version of synaptix, I read somewhere it has 255 level of pressure, but have not seen a full review spec either.

It does look like Acer assumes it is that worth speaking about Smiley Happy

Have you tried to ask Acer sales directly?

The stylus designed for this product is NP.STY1A.005. It is manufactured by ELAN. Unfortunately, I do not have additional specifications I can provide on this stylus.
