Ok I read in the forums something about the fact that Windows 8.1 (which is what came on my computer) is not recognized the Media Player.  I took the free upgrade to windows 10 and installed.   I have tried to load a DVD program for the first time and now discover I am unable to, so I deleted Media Player - but can't remember the free player program that was suggested in the forum I was in which I cannot find now Smiley Sad

HELP!

I just want to install this program and now I have no media player.  It wouldn't install previously anyway; there hs to be a solution!!!  PLEASE!!!

the DVD content is a movie?

if so, run VLC an then click on media on the top bar, then choose Open disc (or just press Ctrl+D once in VLC)

ok, so VLC will not work on it, since it's a multimedia player.

with "trying to download", do you mean install files on your PC or copying the whole DVD on your computer?

installing the DVD program ... I wasn't able to.

I called Acer and the computer is going back for repair; there is something definitely wrong with this computer.  It is too slow, has been since I got it earlier this year and it came with 8.1.  I only downloaded Windows 10 recently after many prompts to do so.

    Thanks for trying to help.
