My judgement... X34

The monitor looks awesome and it is awesome when it comes to photo editing and graphic design and presentations and text editing and such. But, when a movie is running, or a game, the panel lacks capability to handle fast movements. No matter how well I have set the monitor and the game, the infamous "10 fps effect" + a series of "still images" are shown nearly constantly. It really is one hell of a mess of colors and shapes when moving. I'm not going to struggle with the monitor anymore but changing it to a decent TN monitor, maybe a triple-set. IPS panel can't yet handle anything else but still images. Period.

I don't see any of these issues.  Games and movies on my X34 are sheer bliss.  My guess is that you're not using a 4K rated Display Port cable, can you confirm you're using the cable that came with the monitor in the box?

Bad quality cables are causing people all sorts of strange issues on these forums.  Black screens, flickering, low frame rate blurring, stuttering, the list goes on...

A 4k rated cable will be able to handle the bandwidth needed for 3440x1440@100hz, whereas a bad quality one might be able to handle 1080@60hz but not the higher requirement for this monitor.

    Hi RamPage,

Mine plays movies through VLC with no issues, great with high quality movies, lower quality ones can look a bit grainy but no FPS issues
