So I bought three of these bad boys, great panels besides one thing... Crazy ghosting problems.. I see posts all over about how some people have it and some don't, well I got three and they all have it. Should I buy quality cables? Will Acer fix them? Is there some sort of update or something to download and fix them?

Unplug anything connected to the computer and shut down anything that could possibly interfere with the signal through the cable. One person found out his printer causing ghosting on his monitor.

If the ghosting still happens, get a quality monitor cable and see if that does it.

Well what I was calling ghosting is actually the overdrive problem. I did order a new cable to test but its still there just as bad as expected. Sad that there doesn't seem to be a fix as iv got alot of money in these. Most other monitors have an option to change this setting but from what I see Acer thought we didn't need the option.

Go here and sign in with your Acer ID and contact Aser for warranty

Same problem here on GN246HL, will acer add this option? Like on a software update?

I'll probably return it if there's no solutions.

Try some of this and see if it helps the ghosting.

I already tried that, but thanks anyways.

It reduces the inverse ghosting but not by that much, plus it makes scrolling through text harder on the eyes.

The real solution is to add a slider that allows to reduce the overdrive's value like Benq's "AMA" and Asus's "Trace Free" options.

    My question is:

Is it possible for acer to release an firmware update for this monitor?

    EDIT:

And I'm pretty sure there's the option we want in the service menu...
