My B3-A20 tablet doesn't have much volume.

If I listen to music at full volume it is only about half as loud as my cell phone using the same headphones. I recently tried to vew a movie that I copied to my tablet while on a plane and found that I couldn't hear the audio because I couldn't get it loud enough, even though my headphones are of the over the ear type. Is there possibly a drive upgrade that might fix this? It has the Android 5.1 that it came with.

Did the volume ever work at a level you would expect, or did it just start playing at a lower level? What app are you using to play music and movies? have you tried other apps?

I tested on my product here, and the volume is not super loud either, but I would say is within normal range. Adjusting the volume to the lowest setting does provide a noticeable difference between the loudest and softest setting, so I believe this is normal for this product. If you feel the volume is not within normal standards, I recommend contacting technical support to inquire about service options.

Thanks for taking a look at the problem ,but its just not loud enough ,when there is back ground noise, try and listen to a film ,in a room where people are talking ,or on train .I f you say it is normal ,then i'm very disappointed in the product.

I agree with dennisprice. The volume level on this product is just not up to par. Your engineers need to look at the possibility of upgrading the sound driver to increase the level  >> or porvide a recall on this product ... 'nuff said!

Normal volume for ACER might not be normal for other products.

Who determines what's an acceptable limit ?

If it gets sent for analysis for low sound levels (compared to similar products from other manufacturers) and the technician determines that it's normal to be very very muted (compared to similar products from other manufacturers) then the person asking for an explanation might get stuck paying for the test with no increase in volume.
