Need to perform fresh W10 reinstall on infected Acer E5-573-5653 that has no DVD drive

My brand new, just out of the box Acer laptop has a bad infection, a Google Ad disguised as a Chrome download, and the infection is very persistent.

What I really want to do at this point is a complete reinstall of W10.

I have a W10 DVD but the laptop doesnt have a DVD drive. Can I connect a USB DVD drive and then reinstall from the pseuso-BIOS menu available from SHIFT + reboot? Is there a better way?

And will I need to grab any special drivers from Acer before I start?

Help!

I highly doubt that your new laptop had an infection right out of the box.

which kind of issues are you facing?

how you checked about that infection?

    Thank you!

Before I read your reply, I found a similar option via the SHIFT + reboot and that worked great.

I can see that my wording was confusing. The infection happened when I mistook a Google Ad disguised as a Chrome download as legitimate. The laptop did not come infected, I caused it, by mistake, minutes after powering it up. Lesson learned and all better now.
