I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver, this makes no difference.

    Try this:

    1. Shut down your laptop
    2. Disconnect the AC adapter
    3. Wait few minutes
    4. Follow this procedure

    Note:

See the attachment for the location of the pinhole.

The same solution solved a keyboard issue (repeated keys) on  Aspire V3-371-7055 :

first key typed for login was repeated all over the session (first 2 times then 4 times)

The issue was on Windows8.1 and Windows10

Laurent_14 , Thank you very much for the solution !!

It took me two month to solve (to find your answer)

    You're welcome

    • Could you say me if you have the community link on your Acer website?
Two months to find a solution, that's not normal.Smiley Sad May be a lack of visibility.

Hello  laurent_14  ,  Absolutely, there is a lack of visibility.

First, there are not enough links to the so usefull ACER Community forum

Second, within the forum, there is not enough emphasis on software solutions related to ACER keyboard issues. At fisrt sight it seems that the only solution is to use the scewdriver and change the keyboard ;-)

In fact, after further analysis, most of these keyboard issues are solved with "software" type of fixes.

A document that combines the diferent keyboard issues and solutions (hard and soft) could be very usefull.

    Best regards
