Hello, I am fairly new here as well as new to Acer monitors.

I just picked up my Acer Predator XB271HU today and set it up with ease using Display port on my GTX 770 at 2560x1440 resolution but the issue I have noticed is it seams to only want to go up to 120Hz when advertised at 144hz.

How can I get my display port to show 144hz? I have never used a display port before and my old monitor was the BenQ Xl4TE 144HZ duel link DVI and that worked fine at 144hz.

<Edit> I forgot to add that I use a Gigabyte 770 2GB OC, I am unsure if that supports 2560x1440 @ 144hz but I know it supported 1920x1080 @ 144hz on my benq however this monitor can't even display that at 1080P

I'm having the same issue as you but someone posted that the GTX 770 doesn't support 144hz @ 1440p. Though I havre a GTX 780 Ti and I'm experiencing the same issues as you.

    Hi Guys,

My understanding is that the GTX 7XX series does not provide the pixel clock speed neccessary to support 144hz. This is why you're only seeing the option of 120hz.

This is completely false. After some minor tinkering (changing the overclock setting from 165hz to 144hz), I was able to get 144hz running on my GTX 780 Ti. Though I still unsure how to get 165hz, its actually hard to believe that a GPU like the GTX 780 Ti can't power 144hz.
