- Driver provided by ACER isn't signed (NOT STANDARD)
* Acer was asked about that over email but never addressed it

- The USB connects & i can access my phone on win7... BUT 1 of Acer's "auto-install drivers" failed to installed.
* See screenshot below
acer.PNG

- AcerExtender walks me through the installation, but ACER's software get block by antivirus and everything fail
* YOU HAVE 2 .exe getting flag by anti virus

- Airdroid can't mirror either

I am so fed up with these guys..... all i want is to mirror my  device!

    first of all, calm down.

you had to know that antiviruses sometimes flag as virus good files, false positives are normal.

Since Acer extend is trying to create a remote connection between your PC and Z410, this is "read" as possible hack on your desktop connections.

About driver not installed, connect your Z410 to your PC, open device manager and check if any Yellow exclamation mark is preset, if so, double click it, choose Details tab and from the drop down menu choose hardwareIDs, copy and paste here the first value.

if there's no yellow exclamation, your drivers are fully installed, that error was just a double entry.

Calming down is a luxury company gets when they serve people right.... not when they **bleep** around.

Acer should aso know how security works not just expect that we'll accept any software that is loaded BY acer without hashes and such...

I started nicely 2 months ago, now after problem with website-hardware-driver-.exe, email support.... you get a rillded up customer, you can address them for that!!!

Yes there is an explaimation point..... and can check the above post for which driver failed.

Yes it's android so i understand that i might have to skip the anti-virus due to the nature of the feature, but it should be mention in the setup, TO A MINIMUM!@#$%

If that can help i would ratter not install any ACER bloatware on my PC extend included... airdroid is way better, but for the sake of troubleshooting i went with that first as it is under warranty.

Ps. Don't  worry not for my health, i am calm,

that missing driver is the ADB driver, they forget to add the correct hardwareIDs. it's needed by Acer extend or if you want to start debugging android OS on your Z410. i will highlight the issue.

I assume by "start debugging android OS" you mean use Developper's mode to iniciate the AIRDROID mirror... and yes i preffer that (both the same related to the ADB issue)

And i do rememeber part of the issue being adding that hardware ID manually, but i am not in the mood to start researching agian. i did it all the first time around but had a defective USB so it was useless this time i have a working USB i want ACER to fix it

Nope, Airdroid is another thing, it uses ADB but ADB was created for developing/debugging enviroments.

    Hi All,

A few pieces of information I've received are that the Z410 did not have an official ADB driver released. While we're not supporting the ADB driver, additional informaiton and support can be found here: http://www.adbdriver.com

As far as a driver not being signed, it is true that we do not have all of our drivers digitally signed and this is a decision to reduce the time it takes to make them available and reduce costs.

    Thanks,
    Cory
