You need instructions to update your desktop Aspire XC-603G to P11.B4 ?

Maybe there is some confusion as to which model you have.

There's two methods to flash your BIOS.  My instructions are for the easy "Win Flash" method.

    1.  Download P11.B4

    2. Extract

    3. Double click the Appendix folder

    4.   Double click the Win Flash pdf file instructions

    5.  Carefully read and follow all of the Win Flash instructions

You're going to have to explain in detail what happened that it won't boot up.  Did you flash the wrong BIOS and brick it?

    Why won't it boot up?

Why do you think that flashing the BIOS will solve the problem of it not booting up?

No I have already read that post. No I'm trying to unbrick it. I started getting a recovery screen error message when I tried to boot it up so I contacted Acer and they was trying to help me but some of the options on the BIOS where not there so they told me I needed to flash the BIOS first.

You probably read this topic too.

Maybe Ironfly can give you some tips.  If I give you tips, you will probably permanently brick your computer and bring me bad karma. Smiley Wink

you can't mix Pxx.Ax version with Pxx.Bx version.

A and B versions supports different hardware revisions.

so P11.A3 is the latest available for your desktop.

can you please report which kind of settings are missing on your BIOS?

which kind of recovery messages you get trying to boot?

    @Ironfly

My TC-605s came with P11.AX and I'm running P11.BX just fine.  Where did you find information that you can't mix PXX.AX with PXX.BX?  I can't find any documentation that supports that theory.  Not to mention my systems runs fine.  I don't doubt that they are different hardware revisions, but surely Acer would block flashing from A to B with a version check if there was going to be a problem.

Also, this topic describes flashing from A to B without issue on XC-603G.  His USB controller was broken under A as well as B so it didn't fix his problem....but he was still able to go from A to B.

maybe i'm wrong, but i remember a post from Cory or other Acer's employee about it; probably i remember it wrong or confusing with other models.

by the way, on the discussion you linked, the user flashed B BIOS using the recovery method, since he renamed the BIOS and flashed from USB at boot.
