E5-521G Video Card/Driver problem Windows 10
Hi! I do have an Acer Aspire E5-521G-632L. Minutes after bootup, only my cursor moves and anything else freezes then seconds after that, the display turns off, then after a few seconds, my laptop just resumes working. Also, everytime I open Photoshop CC 2015, a few moments after the splash screen shows up, anything on my screen freezes, then the display turns off, then returns with a BSOD that says "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (ati something)". Sometimes, my screen also flickers. This problem only showed up when I upgraded to Windows 10 but I haven't tried going back to Windows 8.1 because my recovery drive was lost. I am now planning to dual-boot my laptop on Windows 7 so that I can conclude that WIndows 10 was the culprit but right now, what will I do with this problem on WIndows 10? (BTW, my drivers are already latest based on Acer Driver Support).

In this case, reinstalling display (VGA) driver is likely to resolve the issue. Reinstall display driver by using the link below (if you have not done this already) and see if that works:

Hi! I tried to install the driver from Acer support but no avail.
BTW, here is what's happening sometimes on my laptop screen:

i don't think it's a driver issue, it looks more like a loose display cable or hardware issue on LCD monitor.
if you move the monitor or gently press monitor frame or near the laptop hinges, does your issue stops or change behaviour?

Not at all. Once this happens, it doesn't stop but when I force shutdown my laptop, it just disappears, and works fine again.

do a BIOS update:
1. Fix LCD panel with "noise" in picture. 2. Update BIOS code for Win10 OS I'm not an Acer employee.0 -
I already tried a BIOS update last month. Still no avail.
