unstable GPS on ACER Liquid Jade S [icoyote]

Hello,

I recently bought an ACER Liquid Jade S. I'm using it with two sim cards.

The problem is that the GPS seems to be very laggy. When using Acer Naviguation, the phone seems to lose its position sometime. The position is really not precise at all.

However, the icoyote app is not usable at all. The speed recognised is not precise at all.  And signal gets lost at high speed.

Can someone help me with that matter? Is there a solution to my problem?

Thanks

    ok, just tested and...

    1) Acer Nav worked smoothly, no issues even at 130km/h

    2) Google navigator worked smoothly, no issues even at 130 km/h

    3) icoyote....the worst app i ever tried. Smiley Happy it looses language selections, wrong warnings and GPS works randomly but it's an application fault, since the coverage was good.

notice that i had no GPS signal on icoyote map but clicking on GPS icon and checking signal on icoyote, GPS has 4-6 satellites and speed was recognised, switching to main screen, no speed and no signal.

so, at the end, probably your device has some issues on GPS but icoyote made it even worst.

a quick thing is to  try a factory reset, if you not already did.

i can't test on my JadeS on a short time, but in about 2 weeks i can test it on highway with AcerNav.

    thank you

Could you try and use the icoyote app and let me kow if it works for you? (it's free for 30 days)

I will try the factory reset, I did not think of doing it since it's a new phone.

So, I've done the factory reset, The GPS seems to do a little better, but it's still lagging a little.

On ICoyote, the problem is still not resolved: when driving faster than 110 Km/H, the gps signal is lost.

I have tried Waze app, and I do not encounter the same problem: no signal lost when driving 110 KM/H.

So it looks like the problem might be coming from ICoyote, maybe an incompatibility issue?

However, the GPS is still lagging using Waze

Thank you! It definitely looks to be app-related.

    Bonjour Jeff,
