GN246HL 144hz Not Working

So I bought a GN246HL and the 144hz option didn't work. I was using the dual link DVI cable that came with the monitor. I installed the proper drivers (even though they were unsigned). Still no 144hz option appearing. I contacted Acer Live Support and, after about an hour of tweaking with my settings, they said the monitor's defective. So, I got the monitor replaced. Now that the replacement came, it still doesn't have 144hz. 

 

Could it be that both monitors are defective? Or am I just doing something wrong?

    If both monitors did the same thing, they are probably not the problem. Are you sure you card can push 144Hz? I don't see anything showing that it can.
