Aspire V5: Why does the settings on my laptop say my laptop is not a touchscreen laptop?

When I bought my laptop, it was a touch screen laptop. It worked perfectly. However, when I upgraded to Microsoft 10, the touch screen no longer worked and my settings said it was not a touch screen laptop. Why?

Hello, have you looked under supported System to see if your Laptop is one of the supported Models? I don't know what version of the V5 you have and it maybe that if it wasn't on the supported list of Windows 10 Update it maybe because of the Lack of a Driver..

http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/windows10-eligible-models Is the 10240 Version. There is also a Nov release of 10586 found here.. http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/windows10-update. If you computer is listed on both of the list, I would go to the Support page for your Acer model. Once you go to the page for your computer it should have Windows 10 Updated Drivers. If it does I would install any driver that don't match the one on your system now and see if it fixes your problem with the Touch Screen..

If your system isn't on the list of computers that is supported, I would then say that if you revert your sytem back to the Version of Windows that came with your computer.

There are some Computers that are not supported for Windows 10, however they work just not 100% complete... I have a few, and a couple of desktops that have unsupported Graphics, that I was able to put in a Graphics card to get the systems to work under 10..

Thank you! However, now there's a new issue. Sometimes my laptop will randomly act like a touchscreen laptop and then it will revert back to a non touchscreen laptop. Do you have an answer for this problem?
