First, sorry for my english skill. I can't write well. Smiley Sad

I bought this VN7-592G-74H8 Nitro V Black Edition and Windows 10 Home USB(It's official.) 2 weeks ago.

First try to set up win 10, my laptop didn't read usb at UEFI mode, but it read usb at LEGACY mode.

So, I went to service center for ask, engineer said 'It is not laptop problem. It is USB PROBLEM. So, you have to contact Microsoft service center.' He showed me that laptop read other win10 setup harddisk which had ready for testing laptop. After this, I contacted MS service center and changed USB to new one. I received it today, and tried to set up win10 at UEFI mode, but laptop didn't read USB AGAIN. Only read usb at LEGACY mode again.

What I have to do for setting up win10 at UEFI mode? Is USB defective product again? OR does my laptop has problem maybe?

    hmmm

if you BIOS is set to UEFI it must read the USB flash drive.

    can you try one thing?

with another USB flash drive, download a windows 10 iso file, using Microsoft download tool:

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

download Rufus (it's for windows) or any other tools that can write the .iso file to a new USB flash drive setting:

partition scheme as GPT for UEFI/EFI only

    format fat 32

    http://rufus.akeo.ie/

run Rufus with your USB flash drive plugged, set it as mentioned and load the iso file, press start.

once done, try to boot on UEFI mode and check if your USB flash drive can be seen.

enter BIOS pressing F2 at boot the follow this instruction to disable secure boot:

    http://acer--uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27071/~/how-to-enable-or-disable-secure-boot

please check also if F12 boot menu is enabled.

once done, boot pressing F12 and select your USB flash drive.

Thanks for your reply. Smiley Happy

Unfortunately, I already tried the method you posted, but it didn't work.

Set password, disable security boot, enable boot menu...

However, When I go to BOOT MENU(F12), there is nothing on the list. JUST BLANK. BLACK BLANK.

Sorry about the dumb question, but why you bought a windows 10 installation media?

your laptop model was without OS?

Yeap, I bought this laptop which has LINPUS LINUX.

So, I separately bought window 10 usb.

In South Korea, where I live, most of ACER products' OS is LINPUS LINUX or FREE DOS.

Thanks for your help. Smiley Very Happy

I went to service center again, and checked the usb.

I plugged it to several laptops, but all of laptops didnt read the usb.

It looks like I received the usb which has technical problem again. Smiley Sad

However, it works with no problem in LEGACY mode, so I'm gonna use it in legcacy mode.

I spent too much time for this problem and I'm getting tired of it.

But your comments were really helpful. Maybe next time, if i want to use UEFI mode again, I will try your ways.

Again, THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. Smiley Happy
