Replacement bottom lid on V5-573G?

Hi. It seems like the bottom lid on my V5-573G is breaking. I noticed there is a small crack on it on the left hand side. It doesn't bother me, the machine is 2 years old and is a workhorse, so small cracks and other imperfections are to be expected. However last week I noticed that the bottom left corner was kinda loose. All the screws were firmly screwed in so I decided to unscrew the bottom and pry off the lid. I've done this many many times before both with this laptop and others, it's what I do for a living.

At first I didn't notice anything peculiar until I noticed that one of the plastic rings that that the screw head presses down on to hold the lid in place was gone. It had broken off and just vanished, not a trace of it anywhere. This is something I can't fix and it bothers me cause I don't want any additional damage that can eventually hurt the insides of the laptop.

So, does anyone know where I can possibly get a replacement lid for the laptop that can be shipped internationally?

There are no access panels or anything on the lid, it's just a one big panel that is taken off.

  • Hello,

    1. Could you post here a picture of the concerned area?
    2. Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

I've not been able to get a good enough picture of the affected area.

The first 10 digits in the serial number are: NXMCEED006

  • Hello,

Sorry I misunderstood Smiley Embarassed. You mean the lower cover/case. I think it's the best solution "for your country".

    Here is the part number:

lol...kinda forgot about this. Things have been busy.

Is it 100% that this cover you linked to is the right one? It says it's for the V5-572 model. I guess it doesn't matter
