All of a suddent, my Acer Predator AG3-605-UR20 Desktop will not boot. It gives me 6 beeps on powerup. No power to the mouse or keyboard. I replaced the power supply, reseeded the memory, switched out the video card and nothing changes. I cannot find anywhere that tells what 6 beeps means. I even posted a video on YouTube so people can hear the beeps. https://youtu.be/A9v-v-CAsJk Anyone know what the error code 6 beeps  is? I assume it is a bad motherboard but would like to know for sure before shelling out more money.

Since the motherboard has an AMI BIOS, have a look at this table:

Thanks for the tip Ironfly. I checked into it. The errorcode you sent talks about the problem being with the keyboard controller but I use a usb keyboard. My system isn't getting power to the usb for it to see my keyboard. It might be related in some way but I don;t know enought to know the finer details. I still lean twards it being motherboard related in some way but am not sure.

Either way, thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate you posting those codes.

you can try a few more things:

disconnect HDD-DVD-ram sticks-any USB peripherals apart the keyboard (try also another keyboard if possible)

    try to boot

if you still receive the error code

unplug the power cable, take off the CMOS battery (it's the silver round battery on your motherboard), press power button twice and wait for about 10 minutes.

put back the CMOS battery, plug back your power cable and try to boot again

Howdy! I would appreciate your help one more time, Ironfly, if you agree... I read this post AND the page with the codes-bips : my ag3605 boot with the LONG bip, that means POST has all in order, BUT I have no screen at all, only the 3 fans running.....What can I try to find my win8.1? I don't see the invitation for the bios anymore....Only black screen and fans running! Thanks for your help! jaclou.

Check video cable, try another cable or try a CMOS reset as i wrote on my previous post.
