How do I disable intel HD and use NVIDIA 730m graphics for all displays on V3-771G

Perhaps there's somwthing I don't understand, but I was recently trying to run some tests on my V3-771G amd the software alerted me to the fact that, as far as Windows 10 and the test software is concerend, the builtin display is driven bybthe Intel HD graphics driver and there is no display connected to the NVIDIA GeForce 730M!

I tried disabling the Intel HD driver, but the PC then used the MicroSoft basic driver instead!

How do I get the system to switch the display to be driver by the NVIDIA graphics? I upgraded the BIOS to v2.28 (which appears to be the latest) but there are no options to disable the Intel HD graphics.

I also tried connecting an external display, but it seems that this also gets driven by the Intel HD driver.

There dioesn't seem to be anything in either the Intel control panel or the NVIDIA control panel to switch the displays.

Thanks

I am not 100% sure but I think the system is set to change over If and when it is needed by demand. So if the demand for graphics are low then there is no switch over to the 730m?

Also could be that if it was set up like a few others out there. Right click on the desktop and then there should be a toggle to change switchable Graphics. If it was like that in 8.1 or what ever software that it started with it may have carried over to 10?

Thanks. Having done some more reading around, I think you are right. The NVIDIA cotrol panel seems to be set up to notify the system which gammes (or other apps) should switch to the 730M. Otherwise, e.g. for normal browsing, text, etc, it just uses the Intel HD graphics.

It makes it hard to benchmark the NVIDIA, since test software I've looked at can't detect a display connected to the 730M so won't test it, but I assume it's working correctly.

    Thanks again.
