I have an Acer V5. The monitor goes into sleep mode, but the keyboard stays lit.

I have an Acer V5.  The monitor goes into sleep mode, but the keyboard stays lit.  The keyboard/computer will go to sleep if I hit Fn F4.  How can I get it to automatically go to sleep? 

 

I just realized that I posted this question earlier this year.  I never saw the reply.  I already have the sleep settings set.  Only the monitor responds, the keyboard stays on.  I'm not sure if the computer is still running or just they keyboard light stays lit.

    If you have anything plugged in to the USB ports such as a USB mouse..etc.. unplug them.  Then restart your computer.  But don't plug your USB devices back in yet.  Try Fn-F4.

    For automatic sleep, check the option below as it's a common culprit that prevents auto sleep.

    Thank you for your suggestions.  The keyboard still did not go to sleep when I unplugged my USB mouse.  I already had the Power Options for sharing media set to "allow computer to sleep."  Any other ideas???

    I have some more suggestions that I can give you after the holidays.  In the meantime, can you post your full computer model.  Acer V5-????????
