Hello, just got my monitor yesterday and hook up went well with no snags. Turned on PC today and started having issues with no input found when using display port. I'm using included cable. Hooked up with HDMI and no issues.

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks!

Still having issues. Ill get a display with hdmi and hdmi to dvi.

I can get display port to work but that requires connecting 2 monitors and playing aroudn with plugging in and turnign on multiple times to get the display port to show.

I have anothe rdisplay port cable coming, mu local BB didn't have one...

I attempted to mark display port as main monitor then unplug the 2nc monitor but after a shut down it reverts back .

    Any tips?

Verify that your DP cable is 1.2 compliant. I bought a 1.1 cable that wasn't. Try hooking up an HDMI and a DP cable, and then you can use HDMI to configure the DP cable-- set the display to 1080p at 60hz on both, then mess around from there to see if it clicks.

Using the one that came with my x34. I have a 1.2 compliant that comes monday so I'll try that when I get it.

    HDMi works without issue

HDMI to DVI also workes without issue.

I've done the hdmi and DP active at same time then make DP primary and D/C HDMI and still having issue.

DP will remain working if I do the above mentioned swap and reset. It's once PC sleeps and or does a shut down that it returns to a no signal screen on wake and boot.

Ive turned off deep sleep on x34 menu with no improvment.

Fresh clean nvidia drivers disn't help

Didn't see anything in PC bios that would assist issue

Sometime I can  windows key +P and do extended desktop to get DP to work after shutdown but I'm doing that blind by memory and It's an annoying workaround.

I'll update with my cable swap as soon as I recieve...

There is no such thing as a DisplayPort 1.1 cable and DisplayPort 1.2 cable, if you're having these problems with the cable that comes in the box then it's something else causing it unfortunately (you'll get the same issue using another cable too).

    - Which OS Are you running?

    - Which GPU are you running?

    - Are you using SLI?

    - Did you have any monitors connected via DP previously with higher refresh rates, such as a ROG Swift?

    windows 10 fall update

msi 970 in SLI ( issue happens with and without SLI enabled)

Had a previous monitor with HDMI to DVI with 120 refresh, was a samsung. This is the first time i've used displayport and I've attempted input on both cards to verify that they are not the cause.

I purchased a certified cable. It should be here Monday afternoon.

Ok so I've tried a few things

    New cable

Fresh Bios flash with most recent

My DP now connects with less of a headache. ( before I'd have to plug and unplug numerous times)

My issue now and it's more of an annoyance than a big deal is my bios doesn't display on x34  but once I hit windows log in DP pick up.

Like I said more of annoyance since I dont' fiddle with bios often . If I use HDMI or HDMI to DVI bios returns for that inmput.

I actually went through very similar experiences with the Acer XR341CK.

Originally bought and connected it via DP to an older AMD card. Very few issues for months, except occasionally the monitor not waking up when the PC came back from sleep. Only a restart would solve the issue.

Though the occurances became more and more frequent up to the point that the monitor didn't come back even from just a "turn off monitor when idle".

A couple of weeks ago i replaced my PC with a laptop (mini DP).

While the initial connection went fine, the "no signal" became pretty much a daily event. Again initially taking out the DP from the laptop and putting it back in tended to resove the issue most of the times.

Until one day i couldn't get it back no matter what i tried.

I run a 5 monitor setup, 3 (including the acer) feature a DP.

The DP cables i have work fine with the other monitors. Connecting HDMI to the Acer works fine as well (although at an abysmal 30Hz).

For a long time (several weeks) the monitor didn't even show in display options when connecting the cable.

I found several posts that advised turning off the monitor for a long time. After that the monitor still showed "no signal" but switching from a mini DP cable to mini to normal DP at least made the monitor show up in window settings.

Despite "no signal", windows oddly enough detected the monitor just fine, including resolution and audio(!).

Someone here mentioned the DP1.1/DP1.2 problem and i stumbled about another post that mentioned "balanced power" settings of a laptop would turn off the DP signal.

Selecting reset on the monitor, setting the DP settings on the Acer to DP1.1 AND switching the power settings to high performance finally got the monitor back on.

The monitor kept showing even after i switched back to balanced power.

I am somewhat as a loss as to what exactly happened. Its almost as if the monitor had several things that required a reset.

Very annoying overall as the issues with the monitor cost me probably the better of a 2 days so far.

    Hopefully this will help someone.
