Not that I know of. I talked to their tech support for mine and they told me that only the A700, A110 and A210 is going to get that upgrade. But, anything is possible right?

That's too bad.  I really like my A500 and it certainly has the horsepower to handle the update.

I am running 4.2 on my tablet. It is very stable. You just need to root it which is also very easy.

Where did you get teh Android 4.2 upgrade for the A500. All of the upgrades I have seen says there are certcain things such as sound that no longer work. Also, where are the instructions you used to root your device.

Personally, I think Acer is sorry due to not supporting their devices better. There is no reason for them to exclude this device to be upgraded with Jelly Bean. It will be the last Acer product I buy.

I'm still waiting for the promised upgrade on my a501. Several owners HAVE reported receiving the ICS upgrade here in Canada. So, who are the bigger liars here? All I want is a straight answer before I either trash this unit or just sue. Iam sure there are others who are just as impressed as I am with Acer...

The A501 was never on the list for ICS. The people that are telling you that they have it most likely rooted their tablets and voided their warranty.

Well, accorting to the postings, the a501 HAS received the ICS upgrade in Australia as well as several European countries.  And I highly doubt that ALL of them had rooted the tablets.  It just seems like we are being treated like lemmings and are expected to just toss the "old" tab and rush out for a "new" one.  That is REALLY great customer support, don't you think??

My next Tab will be a Nexus. So when I throw it out. Acer will not get any more of my money.
