Aspire One D257-13404 won't boot with 2GB of RAM

Member Posts: 4 New User

It already has 1GB in it, and functions fine. However when I put this module in, it just refuses to boot.

Here is the module I put in it.

It tested fine in a Dell laptop I have here.

Any ideas?

  • Hello,

Do you use Windows 7 Starter?

In this case, your netbook supports up to 1Gb.

    I think maybe you misunderstand.

I stated the netbook it refusing to boot, or should i state POST, not the operating system.

I am a bit confused on this.

An item with identical specifications, but appearantly the only difference is a part number; and it's not compatable??

Got an answer back from Crucial. The one I have here is High Denisty and the one they reccomend is low density.

    Thanks for the help
