VN7 791G - Won't boot to Windows OS

So I've had my Acer VN7-791G for 5 months now and up until last month everything was fine until suddenly the system became VERY sluggish (OS and programs were hanging) and the boot-up process took a redicilously long time. To rule out a software issue I decided to restore the computer to factory defaults using Acer recovery, hoping this would solve the problem.

Unfortuantely it was still very sluggish after a succesful wipe and suddenly one day after a restart the system decided it didn't want to reach the windows logon stage anymore and decided instead to remain on the Acer loading screen or the 'Preparing Automatic Repair' Acer loading screen.

I decided to leave the system to run to see if it would eventually reach the windows logon but it never did and all it does now is continue to stay on the Acer loading screen or gives me a black screen with the mouse pointer (nothing happens if I do anything at this point nor if I leave it to run). Same happens when I attempt to press Alt + F10, it just goes to a black screen.

As this is still under warranty I plan to ship it off to the Acer Service Center, however I have read some bad reviews so before I do this I wanted to see if:

a) anyone has had the issue stated above on their model, and
b) are the reviews I've read regarding Infoteam Acer Repairs unfounded?

Many thanks.

    Hi Fras23,

Thanks for the response - I've just had my laptop back from Acer repair and you are correct, the SSD had failed.

Happy with the service, had my laptop back within 5 working days.
