XB270HU bprz Not Showing Desktop (Please help)

When booting up my computer the monitor will display the Acer logo, then the Asus logo to get into BIOS (the typical stuff you'd see) and then the screen will go blank, say "no signal" and ends up not displaying the windows desktop. Everything on the hardware side seems fine. The card, cpu cooler etc. is on and running mind you. I'll provide a little context in the following that may be relevant.

So, before the problem with the monitor occurred (if that idoes indeed being the case) I had an issue with my GPU temps/clock speed being a little too high at idle by dropping the monitors refresh rate to 120 Hz through Nvidia control panel (graphics drivers are up to date) suggested by an EVGA forum mod. Afterwards, I do my usual thing and change to my cards overclock profile and all was good. A while goes by and I decided to set the card back to "default" mode through EVGA Precision then BOOM it happened and the monitor goes blank but the computer was running like normal, I could still hear the video playing etc. Now it won't display the desktop just those first few logos. I dunno what the hell is going on. Any thoughts? Please help...the monitor is brand new though it has never done this before until now :/.

No one seems to want to help so forget it. Decided to return this monitor anyways and get my money back. Going to buy the Asus PG279Q eventually instead Smiley Happy.
