Changing speeds of RAM on Gateway FX6000 FX6800

Can I get RAM on Gateway FX6000 FX6800 to run at 1600MHz? Perhaps change the BIOS? There is no changing in the BIOS settings that I can see.

  Those seem to be Gateway Series numbers.  You will need your specific model number within the series.  Or am I repeating myself?
