Thank you all for your input.  Here is the latest.. I created another boot media from Windows 10 update tool on a different Win 7 Ultimate laptop.  Then reinstalled Win 7U and installed SP1.  Then used the new USB win 10 boot media.  Installed Win 10 Pro.  Tried to change my bios back to UEFI, but still wouldn't  boot.  So I did a clean install with bios on Legacy and now am on Win 10 Pro and is activated.

Is there any downfalls for being on Legacy?  I really don't know the difference.  I am really curious why the heck it won't boot with UEFI.

Keep in mind I still have 3 more laptops to image

UEFI will be more secure, since it will use GPT, then using legacy on UEFI from factory laptop, can create some hardware issues.

at this point, i would download a windows 10 pro .iso, using the window media creation tool (just to download the .iso file), then download Rufus http://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US , plug the USB flash drive, select on partition scheme, UEFI BIOS only.

loading the .iso file and let Rufus burn the image.

once done, turn off your laptop, boot to BIOS, set UEFI, plug the USB flash drive and boot from it pressing F12 at boot.

erase completly your HDD and install windows 10 pro again, if USB fails to be recognised, on BIOS turn off secure boot and try again.

Ok, made a little progress.  Using Rufus, I made UEFI usb.  Under boot menu, I changed Legacy to UEFI. Underneath it there is Secure Boot [enabled] and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it.  If I go to the Security tab, I see Secure Boot Mode: and it is set to standard.  Once again, don't seem to be able to change any of these options either
