Touchpad won't work at all. Aspire E 15

The touchpad does not show up in device manager . As far as I can tell it does not show up in system information either. I attempted to download the elantouchpad driver and it appears in a driver booster I have as unplugged. My touchpad stopped working once before, I downloaded the io drivers and it started working again. It stopped working about 1-2 weeks after that. Currently, I can only use an external mouse. The problem is /not/ that I need to reenable the touchpad by pressing fn+f7. I have an aspire es1-512-c2fa, running on windows 10

Please help, I really don't want to have to send this in Smiley Sad

P.S Which is the appropriate location E and M series or Aspire ?

    Taviaw,

I would recommend you perform a system restore to when it was working correctly to see if that resolves the issue.

Important note: this applies to those who ran out of all the touchpad commands   for those who have the same problem as me, I leave here as I decided my situation after contact via chat with microsoft.   the Device Manager tab human interface, uninstall (HID compatible device), then the option (action), press (check alteraçãoes hardware) will be automatically installed what was uninstalled.   then go to the manufacturer's website and install the following drives; Driver Intel TXE; Driver Chipset; Intel serial IO driver   Restart pc and should be reinstalled the touchpad 100% funcionalHomem laughing
